Salisbury City Church meet every Sunday: 10.30am at South Wilts Grammar School, Stratford Road, Salisbury, SP1 3JJ. When you visit us, it is our aim that you feel welcomed, relaxed and that you thoroughly enjoy the experience. Each Sunday meeting will include a time of prayer, singing to God as well as relevant preaching from the Bible.
Our meeting starts at 10.30am with a short introduction, prayer and time of worship. This is mostly in the form of singing to God (words to the songs are projected onto a large screen at the front). After 10 minutes we share important news or upcoming events and there is an offering taken but we do not expect guests to give money. At this point the children will be directed to their specific groups while in the main meeting we have about 40 minutes relevant preaching from the Bible. This is an important part of our time together and leads well into a further 30 minutes or so of singing and prayer during which time we regularly take bread and wine together.
Our kids love church and each week we run 3 separate and fun children's groups for ages 0-11yrs (Jelly Tots Creche, Smarties and Tribe). They are staffed by our excellent and committed children's workers who have all been CRB checked. We also have a group for 11-14's which meets on Fridays and certain Sundays.
After the meeting we enjoy an informal, relaxed time together. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served. There is plenty of space to sit and chat, make new friends and browse the information on our welcome table. We also give out guest packs to first time visitors which include information about Salisbury City Church, a Newfrontiers magazine and a CD of a recent sermon.
There is plenty of parking both in the SWGS car park and in Stratford Road. Just follow our road signs once you turn into Stratford Road and our welcome team will be ready to great you at the door and assist you further if required. Find us...
